our story

Technology that prioritises humans over algorithms.

LiteByte was started by two students searching for healthier digital spaces. We build tools that encourage people to meet, collaborate, and grow with the communities that already surround them.

what guides us

Built with intention, backed by experience

Every feature is paired with conversations from students, educators, and community leaders who want to unite communities.

Purposeful Social

We design experiences that encourage real-world interaction instead of endless scrolling.

Thoughtful Technology

Our tools are engineered to feel light, fast, and respectful of the people who use them.

Community First

Every feature begins with a student story and ends with something that strengthens local ties.

the founders

Students leading the mission

We still spend our days on campus, listening to classmates, and shipping features between exams.

milestones

Shaped by the communities we serve

LiteByte grows alongside the people who use it. Each milestone is informed by conversations with students, teachers, and local leaders.

Summer 2024

Idea sparks at Lancing College

Seeing classmates overwhelmed by traditional social media, we sketched LiteByte in a notebook after class.

Autumn 2024

Prototype and early pilots

We shipped the first beta, interviewed students weekly, and shaped the product with their honest feedback.

2025

Scaling beyond campus

New partnerships with local organisations are helping us bring LiteByte to more communities.
